Training not "Breaking"

Learn to lead your horse to a successful partnership

Had your horse "broken in" and then been at a loss as to how to take the next steps? Or felt that you and your horse have no relationship and been at odds with each other?

Ian has many requests to "break in" horses but rather than remove and take over training which results in Ian having a relationship with the horse, Ian offers a unique service to take you and your horse through the process of how to progress through the stages of groundwork to get him under saddle including floating and self problem solving. This involves one on one work over a period of approximately 8 to 12 weeks with you continuing to work with your horse inbetween sessions. This means that you are the one that develops the relationship and becomes the leader and partner the horse is looking for. It also enables you to understand and continue the training and leadership program that your horse need.

Each program is tailored for your horse according to requirements of both horse and rider. Sessions can be held at Mundoola or your own premises (or a combination of both).  Please contact us for full detail.

Be involved in teaching your horse how to float load

Groundwork is like reading and writing.  If you understand how your horse is being taught, you can lead him through further training.

Being involved with the process of getting under saddle will create an immediate partnership.
